Marathon Capital's CEO to Speak at 20th Annual Global Energy and Finance Conference

CHICAGO, June 24, 2009 – On Friday morning, June 26, 2009, Marathon Capital CEO Ted Brandt will participate in a panel discussion at the Chadbourne & Parke sponsored Global Energy and Finance Conference. This is Chadbourne's signature conference on global energy and finance to be held June 25-26 in Williamsburg, Virginia. Mr. Brandt will be among the featured panelists addressing asset prices and valuation in the current economic environment.

Mr. Brandt was chosen to share his point of view at 20th Annual Global Energy and Finance Conference because of Marathon Capital's expertise in renewable energy finance. At Marathon Capital, Mr. Brandt is chiefly responsible for originating and maintaining many of the investment bank's strategic and client relationships. Among Mr. Brandt's noteworthy transactions are the restructuring and ultimate sale of Middlesex Generation to General Electric (landfill gas to electric); Steamboat II/III to Ormat Technologies (Geothermal); the sale of Greenlight Energy to BP, plc (Wind), AMP Resources to Enel (Geothermal), CPV Wind to Iberdrola (Wind), SkyPower Corp. to Lehman Brothers (Wind and Solar) and Ridgeline Energy to Veolia Environment (Wind). Marathon Capital is active, in multiple assignments, relating to asset monetization, merger, acquisition, divestiture or financing of entities engaged across the renewable energy spectrum.

"Marathon Capital is a rising star in the renewable energy segment," said Mr. Brandt. "Our participation in this forum provides an opportunity to reflect on the breadth of Marathon Capital's experience and understanding of asset values and related market pricing of renewable energy assets."
