CHICAGO, April 30, 2009 – Marathon Capital is pleased to announce their participation in what promises to be one of the year's most exciting events in wind energy: the American Wind Energy Association's WINDPOWER® 2009 Conference & Exhibition. The highly anticipated event takes place on May 4th - 7th, 2009, at McCormick Place Convention Center in Chicago, Illinois.

As the largest annual wind conference and exhibition in the world, the WINDPOWER 2009 Conference will feature impressive displays from over 1,200 of the leading companies from all facets of the wind energy industry including wind transactions. Over 15,000 attendees are registered to attend the conference program which includes 50 sessions on leading wind energy topics organized according to policy, business, and technical focuses. Attendees can also participate in several day-long pre-conference seminars for more in-depth education on various topics.

Marathon Capital's Ted Brandt, Chief Executive Officer, and Gregg Elesh, Chief Investment Officer, will lead Marathon Capital's participation at the upcoming AWEA conference.

"We look forward to sharing Marathon Capital's knowledge of wind finance and M&A with other leaders in the wind power industry," said Mr. Brandt. "This conference provides a stimulating setting not only to display our contributions to the energy sector, but also to learn first-hand more about the latest developments in the industry."
