Marathon Capital's Chief Executive Will Speak at 2009 Wind Power Finance & Investment Summit

Marathon Capital is pleased to announce that Ted Brandt, Marathon Capital's Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, will speak at the 8th annual Wind Power Finance & Investment Summit on February 12-13, at the Paradise Point Resort and Spa in San Diego, California.

The Wind Power Finance & Investment Summit attracts wind industry leaders from around the world. Each year, the industry's foremost project developers, lenders, investors, and financial innovators gather at the Summit to discuss developments in the wind power finance and investment markets, as well as the challenges and prospects for the current year and beyond.

Mr. Brandt will participate in a special panel discussion entitled "Consolidation and M&A in the Wind Industry" on Friday morning, February 13. During the past year, consolidation in the wind industry and wind M&A both continued to be major drivers. The wind industry saw an increase in the acquisition activities of foreign investors and a growing number of partnerships between small or medium-sized developers and major players in order to finance their wind projects.

"We look forward to sharing Marathon Capital's experiences in wind M&A and consolidation," said Mr. Brandt "Together with the other panelists, we will address new opportunities, challenges, and strategies for both buyers and sellers."

Joining Mr. Brandt at the Summit on behalf of Marathon Capital are four other top-tier wind power finance experts, including Gregg Elesh, Managing, Director/Chief Investment Officer; Gary Greenblatt, Managing Director; Rob Stefani, Vice President; and Sid Sinha, Vice President.
